Hey, I got it working, thanks!
Oh man, I had 32 bit VLC installed which is pretty dumb, hahaha. I got 64 bit instead and it worked right away.
I'll play around with it now and I'll tell you how it goes! =]

You dont need to copy the .dll files, they should already be included.
The problem could be that you use a 64 bit java but replaced the .dll files with 32 bit .dll files from your vlc installation.

In any case your java version (32/64 bit) has to match with the .dll architecture (32/64 bit) .

Also look into the Error folder is there a file?
-Oh some errors are actually only just some test files, i forgot to remove them (ignore Errors with a negative number).

And try the 32 bit version just to be on the save side.

Hey, I'm getting the same problem. Hopefully you might be able to help me out too.
I'm running 64 bit java and I just installed the newest version. Oh, and I'm running windows 7.

-I have the slideshow generated
-I saved it and the .txt file looks good
-I transferred all the .dll files from my VLC folder
-I restarted my computer

When I hit play, nothing happens. Anything I'm missing?
I'm excited to try this viewer. It looks great.

Thanks, Windows was telling me jars are compressed java files and I should use Winrar to extract them.

Edit: Also, I never downloaded Java on this box.
Didn't know that was possible.

If I properly understand your question the runfile is Teaseviewer.jar

Everything opens up
I didn't even get that far. What am I looking for here? I see classes, dlls and plug-ins. What's the run file look like?

I copied the specified VLC files over, and that completely fixed my problem! Everything works great! This program is exactly what I've been looking for since I first discovered CTI a few months ago.

Thanks for all the help getting this to work!

Ok good news, your are probably running a 32bit JVM (Java Virtual Machine)
If you use windows start cmd.exe and >java -d32 -version or java -d64 -version to check which version is installed.

The VLC .dll files in the VLC folder are 64 bit files, because im using a 64 system... and a 32 bit JVM cant load 64 bit .dll files.

How do you fix this?
Here are your options:

1. Go to your VLC installation (must be 32 bit if you use a 32bit JVM and 64 bit if your JVm runs on 64 bit) and copy the plugin folder and all 4 .dll files
(axvlc, libvlc, libvlccore and npvlc.dll) and replace the files in the VLC folder inside the Teaseviewer folder.

or

2. Change yor JVM to 64 bit

or

3. I will set up a download page with a version for each System 32 and 64 bit download the right version there.

It shows your saved configurations and should not affect anything.... if you select the empty entry it should just reset all configurations.
You dont need VLC but it uses some of its libraries to play MP4 and Audio / video files, but i integrated all librarys into the VLC folder it should work without VLC beeing installed(Thats the reason the .rar takes 30MB without them it would be around 6MB)... im just trying to identify the bug.

Its working on my system and on another but both run on Windows 7,
i never tested on any other windows version or Linux / Mac.
What is your OS?

I realy want to fix this problem, hope to get more feedback from you^^

!Edit: I encoutered the same problem now with a test setup on windows xp, give me some time to find the reason.
!Edit2: Identified the bug, has indeed something to do with vlc. Im working on it.

-Did you fill / or selected a picture folder with pictures in it? Yes
-Pushed the generate button first? Yes, it appears to generate, but nothing happens when I click the play button
-Java uptodate? Java is updated to version 8 update 45
-(VLC installed?) I had an older version of VLC, but I reinstalled it. No effect. Is there anything special I need to do with VLC besides install it?

When click the generate button, it appears to generate everything fine and shows me the total number of slides and the estimated length of the tease.

Now, beside where I select CTI (or CTI 2) there is a drop down menu to select configuration. The drop down menu is blank. Should that be the case?

Thanks for the help with this!
